Game keeps crashing in the desert zone

No error message, no warning. I am simply walking around, fighting, whatever and it just dumps me out for no apparent reason. Keeps doing it and the game is literally unplayable :/

I did a quick google search but didn't find anything other than someone saying the game wont launch from the start.

Anyone else with these kind of issues?
rig is

Win 10 64
Ryzen 5 3600
16GB RAM
Radeon RX 5700 XT

I have played this game a few years ago on a much lesser computer but I never finished it, I don't think it can be a hardware issue.

that kept happening to me after quite a few hours into the game. I read an old post that fixed my problem. In FAR settings, change the lighting from ultra to anything else. Gonna try to find the original post

This is the highlight

Set global illumination in the FAR settings to High instead of Ultra, Shadow culling to 8 %.

Disable MSAA and Ambient Occlusion in the game options. They're broken and can cause crashes.

Close any unnecessary background programs that might try to hook the D3D11 process like overlays. e.g. Discord, Razer synapse, GeForce Experience, some anti virus programs.
