If you did accept the help, after that did you leave a postive message? If you did no, then it won't ask you the question, since the question is about being positive to others by helping them, so leaving a negative message is interpreted as you not wanting to help others, so it won't ask you the question.
I suppose my message wasn't exactly positive, so that should explain it.
Can't believe I must do this again now tho...
I've decided to finish the DLC first since I got the chance.
Not sure why you wouldn't be able to get help, the game offered me help after a few deaths.
You could try the newly discovered cheat code to skip the credits if you've seen the ending already.
