How can I save?

So, I finished prologue and manually saved right away in an ATM like machine. Then I went out for my first mission, and it keeps saying "saving" on the bottom of the screen every now and then. I like to explore a lot, and so did I without actually going to the mission target. But couldn't save the progress from the menu. I needed to turn off the game because in doing so, it was almost 01 hour of playing which is a lot mid-day. but i saw that i lost all the effort. So there is no way to enjoy free wandering? just go straight to the point so i can find another ATM? help, please.

There are multiple save points on the map. You will need to clear the robots near them and then activate them first though.

I never saw anyone call them ATM machines lol
Anyway, not only you have to clear the savepoints from the machines, you actually have to manually save each time as there is no autosave at all, but as long as you're in a save point rance(saving possible will appear in the top right corner of the screen) you can quick save from the pause menu without having to actually do it at the save points.

Yeah, I just did an hour of the intro mission... and.... death in the final boss scene never seeing a save point. No checkpoint, or anything. So now restarting from scratch. All levels, everything has been wiped.

I saw nothing resembling a save point :-(

There is no save point in the prologue. Turn the difficulty down until you beat the boss if needed.

Pro tip: every time you see "save available" (or smth like that), pause and make a quick save. It also might be a good idea to room around the area and unlock all saving points first (listening to good music in process)

Sorry but I tried to save at the ATM numerous times. When I did a quick save it said saving, at ATM ,.manual save ., it said saving but never writes Data into the save point. 3rd time I've made it to the village and had to start over..... What the hell is Up?

Sounds like perhaps a file access issue. You aren't escaping out early, are you? There is also the manual save in the system tab vs the quicksave. That doesnt work either? You can also save at the giant black boxes in the station before heading down. Try saving in bunker too perhaps

Does the game save but then you can't load the save when you go back tot he game, or when you try to save it doesn't save at all?

Doesn't save at all, which sucks because I like the game so far. Going to try a reinstall.
Yes, I tried saving at multiple ATM locations. Quick save..
Been modding for years and never seen anything like this error.

Make sure both the path to your documents folder(and the documents folder itself) and the game installation path only contain latin characters.

You just need to find the access points. There are access points in some places and you can save when you are in range on the access point.
