My favorite is spear and short sword.

If you are looking for a good weapon combo, I suggest that you also consider the other weapon's skill. Like for example, since demon's cry has attack speed up, you can partner it with any of the virtuous weapons that also has attack speed up. If you like some knock back resistance, you can use iron will. If you want additional criticals, something like iron pipe will do. For heals, you can partner that one with angel's folly or any of the Pheonix weapon.
