Ending E for Drakengard 1 is canon for the Nier games, though in terms of what ending is canon for Drakengard 2 it's Ending A.

Yoko Taro messed with us all and decided to make *none* of the endings in Drakengard 3 canon, the canon ending is told only in the region-locked novelization of Drakengard 3.

I don't think so, I think Ending A is canon and it leads to the manga Shi in Itaru Aka then Drakengard 1.

Shi ni Itaru Aka leads to DOD1.3, not the game version of Drakengard 1
