No Complex Gadget drop In nier automata

can anyone help, ive been doing this for like 3 hours and i got one complex gadget and every time i go back and kill the 3 big guys and pick up all the items around the place i cant get any more ( and im trying to do the weapons trader quest for the first time )

Are you killing the enemies under the red circle on the minimap?

They don't actually drop from the enemies, they're spawned on the ground. Usually in grass at the base of trees. If you run around in the red cirlces on the minimap long enough you'll find 'em eventually!

Pick up the yellow items on the ground near the red area. One near the tree root, one on the empty field.
