Emils Shop

Have a big problem, currently at route A, completed the Emils memories quest and im on the Carrier Missle quest. Problem is he wont move into other places, he just drives around the desert area. I've exhausted all dialogue with him, including where he lives but no dice. Fast traveling to other areas or by foot doesnt help at all. Need advice on this.

there was a trick for that (long time i done this)
You have to cross the bridge (to the mall) and go back to the ruined city, and sometimes he goes somewehere else (track him with your map and it should be good after a few try)

The trick I used is to take a moose into the desert until you cannot see Emil's shop on your map. Then you go back into the city and check your map where he is. Repeat until you get him where you want.

I've already done this, he just wont leave his desert area.

Does riding a Moose make a difference lol? But anyway, i've fast traveled and left zones on foot after talking to him, he only says "Welcome" and "Thanks friendo" in his voice, even if you buy something from him there is no new dialogue

Fast traveling will lock him in place so never do that. Are you trying to get to Emil's house or just change his shop location?

What I always do when he's there is talk to him near the desert entrance and then run back to the "City Ruins: Near Factory" save point.

What is your goal? Buy +6 chips? I think this is impossible in route A, you have to finish it or have a much larger level which will require tons of grinding. Not worth it.

Don't care for +6 chips, too much memory, I want the weapons.

I'm trying to change the location

Do exactly as I said then, go into the desert (camp) on a moose (It is faster) and continue to go towards the dessert area, DO NOT FAST TRAVEL, once you cannot see Emil's Icon while in the desert area turn around, go back into the city, check your map to see where he is located, repeat if not in the right area. I repeat DO NOT FAST TRAVEL DURING THIS.

I beat this game twice already, sometimes he's at a place, sometimes he's not. What I usually do is to talk to him first at the desert area, then fast travel to "city ruins: front tower" and if he didn't move, just keep transporting between there and "resistance camp" until he swaps, it seems to be a bit of rng. it works for me on the current patch as of this post

Theres a glitch in the game where it saves emil's shop and he will always be in the same place if you fast travel. Doesnt look like it happened to you, but it did to me.

I've tried as you suggested, but no dice, he still cruises around the area. Maybe, there is some prerequisite quests i need to complete in order for him to move around? I've never had problems with him on my 2nd playthrough.

Ive never had any trouble with him moving using that method. Hmm thats really strange. So he stays in the desert area no matter what you try?
