How many?! lol, all i wanted to do was explore the area before i went and progressed the quest, incase i wouldnt get a chance afterwards. I was that pi**ed that i literally just went straight to the boss fight again, but now im down like two levels, and all the items id looted. Are any of these endings actually meaningful btw?
Iirc you can go back there later, but even if you can't, once you'll have 3 main endings you will unlock chapter select so you can go back to any point in the game to finish whatever you didn't, level up, etc. It's also how you'll get the last 2 main endings.
Other than ending Y, not really.
Yeah i just completed "Route A" then it said there are more story lines or something. Whats the deal between 2b and 9s, how come she starts crying over him, aren't they just robots? amazingly fun game and combats epic, but 9s is always getting in the way, and i always think im controlling him instead when it gets hectic. I wish there was an option to leave him at camp, or dismiss him or something iv set him to passive anyway so hes just kind of a hindrance. Either way this game is still really fun so I can live with it regardless lol.
Interesting, but I still dont get why shes all torn up about killing him. I mean I can understand her not being happy about killing a fellow teammate, but shes only met him like 5 mins ago, n he's always getting on her nerves too yeah? Right up until before the last boss. I just found it a bit of an over-exaggerated reaction, cos I meanlike 90% of their dialogue was just objective instructions, and the rest was just passing comments and him annoying her at least thats how it seems. Yet at the end she acts like shes killing someone shes known all her life, i assumed she said "it alwasy ends this way" cos of the blackbox explosion that happened at the start. perhaps it's just me...
i guess i might learn more in the next play-through though iv just started, not particularly thrilled about playing as 9s though, he only has one weapon, and no delicious butt for me to stare at :(
So I just completed route c and man do I have a new found love for 9s, he became interesting when he wasn't always overly cheerful and enthusiastic. Dunno I kind of prefer him as a lost hope psycho that wants vengeance. Now that iv played through 2 more times, the stuff your'e saying makes more sense than how I saw it. So does this mean hes in love with 2b? Or is their relationship supposed to be platonic like siblings rather a romantic one? I cant seem to decide, also is 2b aware that shes supposed to kill 9s? when she said "it always ends this way..." it kind of implies she isn't aware that Yorha wants her to kill 9s...
Anyway, If you haven't already, use chapter select to go back tot he last chapter right before the final choice(A2 or 9S for the final battle) and change your decision, you'll get the other ending C or D you didn't get yet, and then right after you'll be able to get ending E, which is the true ending.
So like if she knows, why would she continue to kill him since humanity is already dead anyway? Or does only 9s know that? I think i'v taken in too much information in too short of time, iv already started a new game+ as well so forgive me if i'm forgetting things or mixing stuff up. This game is unlike any other iv played im in awe right now...
2B kills 9S every time he discovers too much because that's her duty as an E model, it's what she's programmed to do. Also, it's hard to answer questions without spoiling information that is available outside of the game(novels and other stuff), which you should only read if you did get ending E.
I mean I got route c done then clicked continue again, and now im back at the beggining as 2b with all my stuff carried over. If thats not a ng+ i dont know what is... I got the dlc with the game, and when i searched how to play it, it said dont play ending E. Cos apparently you lose all your saves or something, so im levelling up in another playthrough then ill do the dlc, then il do the other 2 endings. So if shes programmed does that mean she cannot have free will, which makes me wonder if they are really sentient or just programmed to act sentient.
Losing your saves after ending E is a concious decision, you don't have to do it. You can safely get endings C, D and E, refuse to delete your data, keep playing via chapter select to do sidequests you might have missed and the DLC, or 100% the game finding everything there is to find, replay the final battle getting ending E, and then delete your saves.
There's no reason right now to start a new plathrough, mostly because you're starting a new one before actually finishing the game, so as I said earlier, I'd suggest to use chapter select to go the last chapter right before the final battle, change your decision, get the other ending C/D you didn't get yet, and then proceed to ending E, only then you'll have finished the game and the story.
A new playthrough to better get small nods and foreshadowing is hightly suggested, but only after you got both endings C and D, and E.
It's not that they can't have free will, it's that regardless of having free will, they're still androids created with specific goals in mind, to them their programming is like an instinct: the struggle between following orders/programming and following their own emotions deciding with their own head is one of the main themes of the game.
