What's the point of A2's "B-Mode"?

I just recently started playing as A2 and while the taunt-focused combat is pretty cool, I really don't see the point in berserk mode (I'm currently fighting the flying snake machine made of all the spheres).

I'm vulnerable to getting hit by attacks while I charge it up as I can't even move, and then when I activate it my health drains flat in about 5 seconds and all I get is one or two powerful hits in before it's gone and A2's stumbling all over the place again.

Is there a good way to use this mode or should I just ignore it?

i use it in boss fights

Build for life leech or life regen and profit! As long as you attack with a life leech build, you just get a damage buff without any real downside, charging up takes time but is neglictible in a boss fight.

You can only make B-mode sustainable if you have the following:
1) max leveled weapon attack chip
2) max leveled critical attack chip
3) at least +4 offensive heal chip
4) at least +4 deadly heal chip
5) a consistent stream of enemies/continuous strikes at a boss
6) has decent dodging skills

It is usable in the colosseum and in some boss fights.

You should apply healing chips that restore health as you deal damage and kills.

You can't die with it active so it can be used as a safety net against fatal hits.

You don't need all of those, but a good stack of offensive heal and high DPS will do it.

When I was grinding to 99 on the rabbit, when I got in the 90s I noticed I could sustain it that way.

Yeah, I may have over done it.

Only really used berserk in the arenas, needs a specific builds to use properly.

Chips:
Deadly Heal
Offensive Heal
Damage Absorb
Taunt Up

Weapons:
Pheonix Weapons (Heal on hit)
Angels Folly (Heal on kill)

Pod Programs:
A120: Repair (just in case)
