How do i get a Large Gear

I need it for the Machine Examination 2 quest, it said it should drop from the smaller enemies but it doesn't seem to, i'm using drop rate up chips and killed a bunch of them but no luck so far...

Kill the enemies on red marked area. you should get one from them

I'm having the same problem. I killed the 4 robots in the red marked areas and got the 4 screws but no gear. I don't see anymore red areas.

This is the same problem i'm having, there's no red are anymore.

I just continued on with the game and eventually came upon an unmarked big robot. Killed him and he dropped the gear. If you can't find him (I don't exactly remember where he was), I believe you can eventually get the part later in the game from chests.

You can farm them near the "City Ruins: Near the Tower" transporter. There should be a stubby there that'll drop a large gear. I believe you can also farm them in the pit with the never ending enemies where you first fight Adam .

I heard about the enemies dropping it on the "near the tower" transporter but they didn't drop even once for me, even with the drop rate up chips. But eventually i got it when fighting some gold robots with absurd HP on the flooded city.

There’s a hackable chest in a short cave right by the City Ruins: Cave access point. That should have a large gear in it

Just wanted to add to this as, as it still comes up in a google search years later. I was only able to get the 4 screws in the red zones, then the zones disappeared.

I got the large gear when another mission from operations popped up asking me to clear the terminal of hostiles in the city centre.
