You can interpret it in different ways, but the Pods are talking about six people that mixed their experiences to achieve ending E, and it seems fair to assume they talk about 2B, 9S, themselves, but also A2 and you, the player. In any case, A2's fate has been linked to those of 2B and 9S, with her accepting to bear 2B's burden and all the symbolism behind her cutting her hair, so it's not unreasonable to assume that if their data could be restored by the pods, then A2's data coud also, especially since she was connected to pod 042.
In the end, it's up to you. But as for me, I firmly believe that all three have survived through your interactions with them. As I said, they're androïds. Them being still is not a deal-breaker for me.
As for the credit sequence, who knows? In practicallity, I think it would be hard for the very first players to achieve ending E without receiving some help, and there are...suspicious names for the helpers, like 2B, 9S, and such...My theory is that the devs programmed a set of helpers representing themselves and possibly the testers, and then each sacrifice goes into an online library that can send help randomly when you accept it during the credit sequence, and this help is somehow deleted for your use from now on. If the deletion is worldwide or not, I do not know, but still, by now, most of the messages and cheers you get are real ones from real people, that did delete their data, and that's what is truly important, imho.
