RX 570 performance?
was thinking about upgrading my 760 to a 570 (for Freesnyc) but I read some past post that 500 series cards crash in this game. Is that still a thing?

So. I start the game, and the window is opening as usual. Everything is loading just fine at the beginning, until the loading screen disappears and the note "Loading system data..." pops up. Then the window just vanishes, but the sound keeps playing.
And I have absolutely no clue why this always happens, till I installed the new graphic card yesterday. Every other game is running completely fine.
AC Origins, WoFF, DBD, ToB, .hack//.... those are the games my previous graphic card did have some problems with. The new one doesn't even have problems with the highest settings of the games. So I don't understand why NieR is constandly ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ up in that one way o_o'
Unfortunately this is one of those silly games that sync graphics settings with the cloud, pretending that all of your devices and computers have the exact same hardware. Whenever the game process ends, steam keeps syncing back the settings of your old graphics card. Find a way to prevent this and go back to default.
I was able to solve the problem with the Radeon Crimson ReLive 17.5.2. driver.
Here's the link for others who have the same problem I had
https:// /support.amd.com/en-us/kb-articles/Pages/Radeon-Software -Crimson-ReLive-Edition-17.5.2-Release-Notes.aspx

EDIT: Forget the link, it's helping with the game, yes. But it also causes a black screen, when I'm about to select a character in ESO, or while playing another game for too long.
So, I prefer the crashing window over a freaking black screen <<'

EDIT NR.2: I uninstalled the latest driver, because it crashed the whole computer.
So I reinstalled the driver for RX 580, and everything works fine again, AND NieR is running smoothly.

The RX 4x0 series had issues when the game was released, but thanks to updated drivers there aren't issues in this regard. Since the RX 5x0 series is more or less a refreshed version of its predecessor, they should be fine, too. In addition, some players in the Linux thread reported that their RX 5x0 GPUS work fine even when their rigs have to deal with Valve's new Proton feature to run games on Linux. I cannot speak from experience, though, as I'm currently on team green. Nevertheless, consider an RX 580 instead of an RX 570. Nier:Automata is pretty demanding and the RX 580 might just give you that little bit of headroom to provide a better experience. Whichever you take, make sure to pick one with 8 GB memory.

Thank you for this!
I just installed a Radeon RX 580, and I can hear the sound of NieR:Automata perfectly, but(!) the graphics won't load.
I tried it several times, to start the game, but it's always like this, and i have no clue why. I just bought the graphic card, so it's (practicaly) brand-new.
Every other game works perfectly fine, just... not NieR.
Maybe I have to change something in the settings?

Hmmm what do you mean by graphics won't load exactly?

Well... argh I didn't spell it right uu'
So. I start the game, and the window is opening as usual. Everything is loading just fine at the beginning, until the loading screen disappears and the note "Loading system data..." pops up. Then the window just vanishes, but the sound keeps playing.
