Second, consider lowering difficulty. Unfortunately, there is a huge gap between difficulty settings, but fortunately there is no penalty in (temporarily) lowering it.
Third, make sure you have some upgraded weapons equipped. This effect isn't as strong as a proper set of Plug-in Chips, but it is there.
Fourth, check Pod programs. Try using R070: M Shield which protects you gainst ranged attacks. Equip each Pod with it, don't charge it, and cycle Pods to have an almost continuously working ranged attack shield. Using Pod C which shoots homing missles as main ranged attack may help also as you don't have to think about aiming.
Fifth, take a breath, calm down, get you head into something else for a while, and then try it again.
Then you have a bad built. You need to re-see all the chips configuration you set, and try to follow a guide for merging them if you don't know how properly do it.
You're just bad and You fail to see that and improve.
But HEY blame something else, it's easier.
