NieR:Automata™
The Angelic Language
Hey all,
Playing through Nier Automara again and I see this text from the screenshot. And the pod had something to say but I rather not spoiler it since its a little later in the game. (Screenshot doesnt really show anything spoilery so its okay :D).

Looks like it says "שעב זאואמ" or maybe "שעב דאודמ" which doesnt really mean anything to me (And I cant find them in online dictonaries in Hebrew or Yiddish). Does it have any meaning or is it just styalised text? (And מ is typically incorrect at the end of a word as it should be in its ending form of ם)

I see that on GameFaqs there was mention of the text from the Demo but thats an archived post so cant really add anything to there anymore.

Of course, I have never heard of this "Angelic Language" so its possible its made up for the game?

Its so long since I played Drakengard that I completely forgot that it existed there too. xD.

Thanks!

It does have a meaning, the writing says "Meat Box". Two other recovery units are also labeled, Soul Box and God Box.

It's really easy to decode, here, have a look:

I think it's based on a "real" alphabet:

Which is based on this real alphabet, which I thought was what it was written in.

Its too similar not to be based on it. 😁

But the "real" status of the Celestial Alphabet is probably why I didn't know about it.

I just didn't pay enough attention to the alphabet in Drakengard. I wish there was an easy way to replay that!
It's called Angelic/Celestial language and it's an alphabet based on Hebrew and Enochian language. It's an oooold language but Yoko Taro changed some word of the language (3 words) to confuse us and we think it mean nothing.
