how to get Game of the Yorha Edition?

I bought this game a while ago, now i see theres a game of the yorha edition, but i cant buy it because it says i already have some of the contents in my library.

Im not sure if the standard edition was automatically upgraded, it's still just listed as "NieR: Automata in my library.

You're not really missing much actually. The only way to get it is by removing automata from library and repurchasing the game, at full price. It is not worth it if you already own it. The only advantage of the GOTY edition I can see is the inclussion of the DLC at a cheeper price, which defeats the purpose if you actually already own the game.

The only difference betwen GoTY and game+dlc are something like two wallpapers.

The hair colors are in the dlc, the only thing you're missing is the pods skins

The hair colors are in the dlc, the only thing you're missing is the pods skins

People who bought the game at the 1st release in 2017 (like me) got the pod skins "exclusive", I feel like i wasted money LOL, why buy the game at $70 for the "exclusive perks" when two years later you'll get the perks for a cheaper price (DLC too), I have to buy the DLC yet

It adds content up to level 99 and a new main ending!

my point is mainly that if you bought the normal game, you CANT buy the YorHa edition, steam doesnt even let you.

So technically, you are cutoff from owning some dlc.

It is possible to still buy the YorHa version of game,

However you have to remove the original game from your account first. If you are wanting to do that, that can be done by selecting the game in your library and then selecting support under the links to the right, then choose the option "I want to permanently remove this game from my account."

Once the game has been permanently removed, you can then buy the YorHa version.

Really wish we who bought the full game before GotY could still get the Pod skins, though. But it would be a bit odd for Pod 042 to speak with Noir's voice while looking like Weiss.
