You substitute game by your own fantasies. ;)
From my personal point of view any info outside game itself (for any game / book / movie) is a white noise. I have seen many times how ppl changed or maded up storyes they have told earlier. So, born piece of art lives by itself and can't be "updted".
Could you elaborate? I don't understand what you're trying to say.
this in it self can cause detoriation of time
what also causes inconsistensis in both technology and content information.
due to factor of time change.
and some technology that has developed and is implemented.
but the pods did not remove/alter that due to their own choice of change.
since to be honest when we start we dont know if its loop 500 or 50+ million.
all we know its progressing without being recorded.
just that the pods reset and try to reassamble the stuff over and over.
and its never stated that they reassamble it to the first state.
just that the reassamble what was lost even if compromised.
what makes it plauseble to have technology that is no where recorded. and lots of info missing due to multiple development processes allready happend to begin with.
He, I bet Yoko Taro is laughing out loud at the concept of Drakengard/Nier canon.
They could also just close their eyes while fighting so it isn't there to block vision either. Furthermore, a fighter that can see has a very big advantage over a fighter that can't. I don't know what's in that fantasy jiu jitsu link and I don't particularly care. As someone who has practiced jiu jitsu and who has investigated martial arts as a whole to a certain extend. I can guarantee you that seeing your opponent, especially when he's competent, is a must. Zoning in fightinggames is a thing that also happens in boxing matches and also a thing that you will see among competent street fighters.
The reason for the 'visor' is probably much simpler: emotions are strictly prohibited. These androids were made to follow certain programming, but were also made in a way to break such programming. This is why while the resistance base you work from has pretty consistently immobile, not maturing, androids with no visible story arcs, while 2B, 9S, A2 and a whole bunch of other YoRHa units are consistently breaking their assigned rules and doing things beyond of what they were programmed to do. Part in these feats of wonder is the emotional drive that these YoRHa units have. You can see with all of these androids that they have experienced, or are experiencing, emotional discomfort about the situation around them. A2 therefore is always grumpy and snobby, 9S goes completely berserk after seeing 2B killed and 2B goes berserk when seeing 9S in serious pain.
So in the end, the visor symbolizes the hypocrisy of being mandated to follow the rules, while not following the rules can actually lead to unlocking greater potential for good or for worse.
!BEWARE SPOILERS!
2b, 9s, and all yorha androids are required to wear their blindfolds (aka visors) or their masks (the ones that all of the operators wear).
it also serves as a metaphor, meaning that those who wear blindfolds (aka visors) are blind to the truth. those who have masks know the truth, but cannot speak it.
as you know, the commander does not have to wear either one. it basically means that she can speak the truth and see it. she is fully aware of what happens, what project yorha is, etc.
i haven’t been able to find out if she was completely aware of the red girls or not, but from playing the game alone, it doesn’t seem like she was entirely aware of them. (i don’t include the anime because it differs from the original game)
i hope that makes sense!
