The game does get harder as you go on.
Start a fresh game from scratch on hard and you all will see. Anything can one hit kill you in the tutorial on ur first try and you gotta start the WHOLE intro/tutorial all over again.
This is a good idea here. Play normal then go into the options and go hard from then on. There is no achievement for playing on only hard.
Not to brag but i never dropped the difficulty when i played on my first time. I turned it to hard my first time and never touched it again till i finished the game till ending E.
However that meant spending SEVEN HOURS, trying to beat the tutorial (which i know since the game insists on you loading a save every time you fail and get those fast credits...). I finally beat it and after that the rest of the game was cake on hard.
The only threatening parts are the missions with the flight units since those are the only enemies that scale to your level and all defense chips dont work. Only hp chips do and even then since enemies scale in lvl you only need 2 hits to die even if having 100% more hp.
R.I.P. i give up after half an hour when i start playing worse and worse i switched to normal. There you actually feel how is the difficulty set. On normal that arm will take you around 35-40% of hp on hard 100%. So standard multiplier 1.5-1.8 would suit "hard" difficulty more. And i dont wanna switch from normal to hard coz of side missions like parade where those bots get killed before you have even chance to aggro anything.
Take hard games Like Furi,Dark souls,Nioh.imagine playimg them without the ability to Lock on targets.for me,It was a huge mistake.
Now , normal is super easy. I have to artificially raise the dificulty.like not using skills (auto this, autothat),buying no more than 10 meds.it is not Fun.
However i found out that the homing missiles still Lock on the target even on hard.what i Really needed was to be able to Lock my Spears attack.
If locking is patched in the Future,i would play this game again on hard for sure
Imagine playing some games on hard mode
civilization you can´t use long range attacks
street fighter , you can´t use special attacks
resident evil you can´t save
final fantasy you cant level up, etc......
of course you can still finish the games , but fun becomes as bad as work.
The soul series NG+ style of dificulty scaling is so much smarter.
just make the game a lot harder , but don´t limit the player resources
