Need info on installing cd physical copy

Hey guys..
just want to ask if the physical copy (day 1 edition) can install the whole game (not including the updates)
I installed the game but it only installed 6gb -ish of the game..
the physical copy only have 1 CD..
did I installed it right or theres something wrong?
right now its sitting on 23% and downloading the rest of the data ( I got a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ internet and it will take 3 days to finish it)

If the 1 CD can install the whole game any tips on how to install it whole?
anyways thanks in advance if someone will answer this :)

Sounds about normal, unless the disc is a bluray, there's no way it can hold all the data, the game is pretty big (~40GB).

The CD's only purpose is to give you your cd key and around 6gb of the game files. Other than that, the CD is pretty much useless after you get the key

I thought it is 40gb? download says 26.5gb O_O

i have the physical copy

you get a steam there is an .exe you have to run (redeen.exe) i think
i gives you the sream code so you can download the game

Yeah, you download it compressed, I didn't remember how big the DL was and installed it's 44GB.

so after i downloaded this 26.5 gb it should be good right? this is the 1st time I download a compressed file from steam..I bought a Dying light last time but it is not compressed >.<
