Quests...
I know it's not as important as to fix people's problems to run the game but this game really need s something to point the path to all the quests. I don't even know which ones are on top and which are underground.
Have no idea how long the game is plot wise but 90% of my time in this game is blindly running in circles trying to find a way to get to the side quests. :meadowfrog:

On the map you can tilt the right stick to change the view on the Y axis. Easy to see if the quest is above or below ground.

Now what they really needed was a different colour icon for quests and save terminals. Damn factory save point was visible for most of the game but you couldn't get there until shortly before the finale.

There are a lot of places you can't go. I guess I am frustrated I can't do all the side quests and terminals the moment they are shown to me. I have to do the main story to open up places like the castle and so on. Wasted a lot of hours running in circles, hoping to find a way to get to them without continuin the main plot.
Rarely use the terminals to teleport, it feels like I'll miss something or I can just run faster to the next one. The factory only has one terminal that is outside and that place is huge. I did get frustrated by all the running when I had a side quest to find one of the missing units that were shot down in the beginning of the game.

A good tip for this game that I wish someone had told me - If it's not obvious how to get to a side quest marker, just skip it. You'll get to it later.

Can't tell you how many hours I spent trying to get to a quest marker under the factory that turned out to be a save point for a section that wouldn't open up until at least 20 hours later.

Yeah, its not great. There are some cool side quest rewards, but most of the time it felt like i wasted my time.

The game likes to place sidequest markers too early, when you have no way of reaching them. If you are talking about the two markers that are way WAY under the factory area, you will reach them eventually as part of the story. They are impossible to reach before that point so don't worry about it.

For any others, like when you see a quest marker, show up, and nobody is there, that means you have to progress the main story.

There is a point in the game where you will be locked out of sidequests and will need to complete the main story. Just make sure you do everything you can before you go to pilot the flight units in the flooded city

And even if you don't get everything done it's ok becuase you will unlock a chapter select feature after completing the game so you can go back to finish anything you missed

It's good that you're doing them though. You will thank yourself later on when you go to upgrade all your weapons to level 4. The bulk of the upgrade materials come from side quests.

I do have a problem with games and quests. :meadowfrog: When I start I have to do it all.
I am just not used to games that don't allow me to do things that are shown on the map. With the Witcher 3 I did all the side quests on islnads before doing the main.
Just did the flooded city and don't think I missed anything, I had like 2 quests there and the castle where I will probably be given quest to collect parts that are in 2 boxes there.
Just a hint cause I usually find the interesting stuff when I fool around, after defeating the giant sea machine in the flooded city, do some wishing right on the spot where you woke up without 9S. Nice things to fish out and got myself 2 achievements too. :meadowswan:
