To make ending Y repeatable, they would probably need to make that side quest repeatable as well. There's no repeatable side quests that I know about since the resistance merchant quests are more part of the main story than actual side quests.
They should patch it so you can just repeat fighting the boss.
You can even save in another slot after you've done it. And in the desert itself is a transporter literally a few eters before the fight.
I don't see why anyone would even say its missable. The game gives you two choices and one of them is an ending, simple.
It's missable because if you save after beating him, you can never try to get it again (On that save file). And if you didn't know it was there, why WOULDN'T you save after it was done.
That's if you KNOW what you're missing. If you didn't know, why would you save in a different slot?
