Bug at the beginning of second playthrough
After I am introduced to the hacking minigames (hacking 4 defense things), you go into the center of the area to start a flying section. When the section starts I have no control of 9S and shots directed at me phase through me. The screen also looks like I'm stuck in dialogue moment where there are two bars on screen. Please help I can't proceed through the game with this bug, it has happened 2/2 times.

I'm not sure if it's connected but right after...
If it's anything like when you start talking to him in your quarters afterwards,...
Let me put it this way, the game recorded you on the first playthrough.

So lets say when he told you to adjust the brightness, you went to the bathroom. You will have to wait that same amount of time on your second playthough since you are now seeing it from 9S's percpective.

I'm pretty sure that I waited for the bug to go away longer than I spent altering my settings (as I did those basically immediately.

I'll see if the bug is consistent, but it is frustrating as I have to go through a lot of the beginning of the second playthrough just to crash and have to start over.

Same issue here, it has recurred numerous times and I am unable to proceed. This is game-breaking. I didn't idle in settings at all, either, so that shouldn't be an issue.

sucks to hear you pc players have so many issue's. if it makes you feel any better, it isnt much better on ps4 since patch 1.06 came out. lots of bugs implemented, lol.

That's an issue when you unlock frame-rate with FAR mod. Change it back to lock frame-rate or don't use the mod to get by it.

Yeah, just came back to post that...disable the framerate unlocker and it gets you past. Bizarre how the rest of the game prior to that worked fine with the framerate unlocker.

how do i even disable FAR? do i need to uninstall it?
and do i need to edit the .ini file again to 60hz?

Maybe FAR needs a reset-to-defaults button or something like that. Or, does it have one already?

I deactivated fps unlock on FAR config gui (control+shift+backspace) AFTER the bug happened when i read this, and It did not worked.

It might work if disabled before the bug, but after doing this annoying segment three times I did not want to test, so I uninstalled it, and installed it again after that sequence. Just to be sure.

To start the game up without the mod you can simply rename its DLL in the nierautomata folder. E.g. rename dxgi.dll to xdxgi.dll then start game. After you're past area with bug then rename dll back to original name.

Ya, the way the bug occurs it's too late to just deactivate the fps unlock.

Thank you all for the answers, I finally solved the issue by locking the fps. Seems like a weird constant to rely on to initiate a flight sequence, but w/e at least I can enjoy the game again :-D

FWIW I tried this sequence a few times with the FAR unlocker enabled, and it didn't work each time, in the same place. I disabled the unlocker (left FAR installed and active) and it worked fine after a restart.
