Spoiler alert: Do not read if you don't already know about Kaine, her house, or the general storyline of NieR.

Am I the only one who finds it strange that Kaine's house sits under a shopping mall? It was out in the open during the original NieR, and supposedly humans went extinct after that game's events. Did human society thrive long enough afterwards, in order to build such a vast city on top of it? Even Emil said he was protecting this place during the alien invasion, so it must have still been accessible thousands of years later when that happened.

Could Emil have built an entire shopping mall on top of that house, just to camoflauge it from the aliens?
