EARLY GAME SPOILERS - Farming Area After Boss Encounter

First of all, I think it's safe to assume there are bosses in games. So, I don't think that is a spoiler.

I'm at the part of the game where a baby is born. There's a boss fight in the area.

I returned to that area to see if I could find some parts to upgrade my weapon. I expected the area to have maybe a couple of small enemies. I found myself face-to-face with large amounts of Lv. 38 enemies. I was in the early teens, I think? I was one-shotted by an exploding enemy. I didn't know they screamed. So, that confused me and I stopped to figure out what it was, and bam. Died.

I went back to find my body. I was one-shotted again. I was soooooooooooo mad.

With tears in my eyes (not really), I went back again and cheesed my way into getting a few levels. I noticed that was also getting some pretty sweet plug ins. Combust and Shock Wave + 3. And I'm sure the other drops are fairly useful as well.

Did anybody else just farm that area? It's just non-stop respawning. They don't stop. And once you level up a bit, you can handle your own against most of the mobs. Just curious.

Yeah it's meant as a farming area. You can get some decent chips, but more importantly the material drops are needed to upgrade some weapons to level 4 (large battery, machine leg/arm/head/torso). Pretty decent for level grinding too but if you're playing on Normal I would advise against it. I was severely overleveled by the end of the game and the last few segments were laughably easy.

No, but I did kill myself there like you did. Took me 4 tries before I realized that if I didn't re-equip my chips when I recovered them, I could die and then not have to recover my own body anymore.

Pretty annoying spot, really.

It's a high 30 infinite respawn area. There's another that is around 50 in another zone.

The screaming robots are kamikaze. Hitting them will blow them up. There's even a reference in the desert to Serious Sam for them.

I farmed there for quite awhile. Used the missle pod to counter the exploders when they appeared. I later regretted using this spot to level though because it made the rest of normal difficulty to easy.
