Flooded City missile is basically near the missile pod, for coast I just fished near the soul box.

Also, some tips about reeling in, taken form the above post:

There are several ways to know when you can catch a fish when fishing. When you throw your pod in the water, it will start to flow in a certain direction. I've noticed there are 3 possible outcomes that lead to catching a fish :
- The pod will suddenly go underwater (there will be an audio feedback of a splash)
- The pod will stop moving (no audio feedback) (this is not to be confused with the pod bobbing in the water, it might slow down but it won't come to a full stop)
- The pod will move in the opposite direction of its flow (no audio feedback)

Pressing the fish button quickly enough in any of these circumstances will get you a fish.

I'm currently 100%ing fishing and the rarity of some fish is just insane. I'm at one fish left and the swordfish took something like 12+ hours worth of fishing.

Yeah, swordfish was my last fish, caught it like 20 minutes ago. This and the beetle fish are just brutal.

Does it not matter where in the location you fish? Aka, any water in flooded city has the same results?

From what I understand, there's river fish, sea fish and.... oil fish. That means that sea fish can only be caught on sea places like the sea side in Flooded city, and river fish can be caught in places with fresh water. Oil fish can be caught in a small place in the desert with an oil pond. where you can buy E-drug after doing Jackass' mission

Yes, for the flooded city specifically, if you fish near the missile pod, you get, for example, swordfish and sharks.
If you fish near the save point, you get Horseshoe Crabs and Starfishes.

I really wish they would make fishing a little bit more like the first Nier. Fishing was an actual skill that could be leveled and in doing so your chances for catching rare fish would increase greatly. Since they are not going to make any story related DLC hopefully we will get at least patch that makes it to where we can use some fish as bait for catching rare fish like in the first game. Although a DCL that totally overhuals the fishing process to that of the first nier complete with new fishing quests and adds more fish would be a better choice.

Well, I am one of those 99% people who have never played first Nier game :/

But it is still funny how you get Iron Pipe (when almost every other weapon is a sword-type) and that it even exist.
