Game closes shortly after attempting to start, no apparent crash

i've been racking my brain over this for almost a week now. the game ran perfectly fine for a couple of days, then suddenly one day decided to stop working. i've tried almost everything under the sun, verifying cache, reinstalling entirely, trying FAR, trying WITHOUT FAR, running steam and the .exe as admin, running the .exe in win7 compatibility mode as an admin you name it, and i haven't the foggiest of a clue why it won't start any more.

I'm running an i5-4570 @ 3.2GHz, gtx 1070, 16gb of ddr3 ram
when the game previously worked, i ran it in 1080p windowed with the borderless gaming fix to get it to run at full resolution, i've since uninstalled borderless gaming.

i made another post about it the day it started happening too and made no progress. is there any way i can get any kind of logs as to why the damn game is closing before it even tries to open? this is getting insanely frustrating.

i have a similar issue and my game closes immediately after opening the window, then the process quits

Bump this up. Got this after my last time playing for no known reason. Ran fine before.

here's the other thread i started on it, it has way more replies and might have a solution to your problem, whereas i still havent fixed mine. so i've uninstalled it and i'll play it later once a patch gets released
