Cannot take screenshots in-game

Title says it all. I am using a xbox 360 controller to play the game and when I press F12 to take screenshots nothing happens. I also can't bring up the steam overlay despite having it enabled. Disabling and enabling it again does nothing. Unplugging the 360 controller also does nothing.

I saw a ton of ss from the screenshot tab so obviously it's working for most people. Does anyone have the same problem or knows how this can be fixed?

There seems to be a problem with the Steam overlay and other Steam functions with some players. I wasn't able to use any Steam functions either, and had to alt-tab out to check things like Achievement progress.

So it's definitely a problem, though the solution eludes me (Not that I actually tried).

I just tried it myself, didn't work. Trying to start Nier in Big mode actually brought me out of that mode and back to the standard desktop, then the game started.

This game just doesn't want to play well with Steam, it seems.

Didn't work for me either :(

Oh well I guess this is a minor issue compare to what some people are experiencing. At least everything else is working extremely well for me except the F12 button.
