Needs help with Emil's mask

Title, I grabbed emil's mask before but found that he was too difficult for me to beat, then I gave up and completed the 3rd playthrough. However when I get to emil's home intending to trigger the mission once more, I failed for it tells I can't have more than one Emil's mask in my inventory.
Need help, how can I trigger emil's secret boss fight in this situation?

You have to talk to him and go there again.

Just try to pick it. You won't get it, but Emil will react as it was stolen and then the chest will appear.

Sure i did and he invited me again, then I find that I cannot grab his mask once more to trigger the mission

Don't mind the words man, anyway I mean I cannot grab one more his mask which will trigger another dialogue about thief when I meet him

Shoot emil, talk to emil, go to his house and steal mask even if your can't pick it up, go find emil and shoot him again followed by talking with him, go back down and hack the chest to get the head, exit and fight.
