For people needing help on first level 99 boss

A tip I found when dealing with Emil's first fight in the caves, start hacking into him and then do a perfect dodge. For some reason if you get a perfect dodge while the ring is filling up, during the slow down the gauge rapidly fills. By doing two perfect dodges the ring can be filled to over 90% within seconds.

Abusing this, plus the Anti-combo damage chips and auto-healing chips(Literally an entire 128 storage slot with nothing but those two(and a HP up+50% bringing me to 7.7K HP)) I was able to beat him rather easily at level 62. However it still took a while.

You can also spend half an hour grinding the rabbit in the Amusement Park, Lock Fire with a Pod, and dodge forever.

The rabbit is far more easier as 9S.
Also with around lvl 90+, a weapon lvl 4 and some attack chips Emil is down pretty fast without the need to hack him. If you're lucky enough he can't even shoot this spheres.

If you're playing on Normal and using items, every fight is easy, it's not like anyone would need tips to beat anything when it's nearly impossible to lose.

At level 62 with the +50% HP(bringing me to just under 8K HP) he nearly one shot me with every attack and I did, maybe 3% of his HP per hack. It took me about 30 minutes to finally kill him

The fight is far from easy even on normal. Each hit did over 7K damage, which if I didn't have the HP up chip, would have one hit me.

I was doing it at lvl 50, barefists on Very Hard. I gave up. For now.

I saw a ton of bodies there so I decided to repair one. It killed emil in like 5 hits while he was still talking. If I didn't get to fight a much harder version later I would feel pretty ripped off. Every other body I have repaired has been a mere distraction and for like 5 seconds before an enemy sneezes on it. I was level 81 with some good stuff so I don't think it would have been much problem anyway but still.

...What? You must have bugged it or something, or Emil must get buffed in between talking and actually attacking. Emil's got significantly more health than pretty much anything and no repaired NPC should be able to do that much damage.

I wish we could redo this quest. I'd love to see that and try to duplicate it.

Yeah, I'm wondering if the guy I repaired was just super OP? Like level 99 with full melee and crit chips or something. Or perhaps its as you say and emil is somehow much weaker when he is talking.

Figured out you can refight the first form if you don't beat the second. Chapter changed to get some pristine screws and had to rob him again. This let him fight me again. Since the side quest doesn't actually start until after that I wonder if you can just fight him again every time you chapter select.
