Map size- pretty small?
Hey guys,

While I love the game, I keep hoping the map will expand. I thought I had done the whole map, but I found the forest area which opened it up slightly (although the forest is much smaller than the first locales).

Is there any other area that opens up on the map, or aside from the castle, is that pretty much it?

It seems like you can scroll really far.

Not small. It's not as huge as maps like AC Unity or Syndicate, but it doesn't have to be. It's a good thing to get familiar with the surroundings. You know where you need to go, without feeling like you're confined to a small environment, unless you've only ever played open-world games from Ubisoft...then it would be understandable for you to have a hard time getting used to it. But it would still not be a factual judgement to say the map is small.

Good deal. Thank you for that. I don't think its tiny by any means, I was stoked to open up into the forest area. Are there other areas that are different biomes as well?

I still haven't even upgraded my pod - getting the mushrooms now ;) Lots to do, for sure. Loving it.

I just get quite upset with too many invisible walls, some of them are completely worthless. In a open world having to deal with so many of them sometimes annoys me. But yea the game is quite cool and I dont think the world is small, its just right IMO. And who knows, maybe it gets expanded with DLCs...

Yeah, DLC's are a thing too. I forgot about that because the last time I was around for a new game release from Japan was Tales of Berseria, and it was released here after it already had all the DLC completed from the Japanese version, so we were basically waiting for it to be ported rather than developed.

Although personally, I would love a DLC storyline where we play Adam or Eve, or both of them (switching playing between them depending on different points in the plot)

Considering you have to beat the game 3 times id say its a good thing its not bigger.
It really does end up feeling small after a while. Like all these important events are conviently happening in this very tiny place. The wide open part of the desert is almost as big as all the other outdoor areas put together. Flooded city in particular was extremely dissapointing, the whole area is so tiny. I guess other than flooded city I'm not too sad about the size of the areas, but for their size, there weren't enough of them IMO. No idea if there are other areas opened up in subsequent playthroughs, speaking of route A only here.

if it makes it any better, its bigger than the first one.. thats all that should really matter, right?

Because of so many endings I'm glad it's not any bigger.
