"Use your scanner to find surviving YoRHa units"

This is my current mission, and I don't know what to do. The scanner doesn't help.
Any tips?

Go back to the flooded coast with the scanner you'll find like 4 or 5 units using it then one of them gives you info about 9S

Unfortunately the Scanner program only has about a ten meter radius so it's not very good. There's also a quest asking you to search an entire desert for artifacts with it (They only spawn one at a time so you have to run around the desert like a crazy person five times) and two weapons that only show up from it. Luckily one of them is in, you guessed it, the desert!

Oh man I remember that quest. Right when I got it I was like "nooooo" cuz I hate crap like that. It turned out to not be so bad but it definitely changes the pace of the game for a bit. If I remember right, I completed it by scanning outside of where I got the quest in the first place but it took quite a bit of running around.

Yep, 2B gives you a hint on where to go after you find the item outside of the camp. Otherwise you're kind of in the lost on what to do. Weird design decision.

This was so damn annoying took me an hour.

im stuck too... but i back to flooded city and find all soldier corpses - use pod and scanner

(i use scanner first time and dont know about it ;)

Only for stupid people. The moment you arrive as 2B you see a lot of Yorha corpses here and there. Only a complete moron would miss that.

Then again morons appear to be in quite big numbers.
