Does killing neutral robots affect gameplay or ending?

When I met the first ones, I spared them, but in the Amusement Park I hit one non-hostile flying robot by chance. Now I'm near the Tank and wonder if it's necessary to kill it.

You cant kill some neutral robots, but you can kill those in AP although some of them will give quests.

You can do with tank what you want. I killed it and nothing happened.

Destroying the tank gives you a Machine Core, which is a quite rare item.
