Given the diametric contrast between what OP described and my situation... I thought it was amusing.... that's all. My bf is not soft, he just has different tastes and interests... You don't have to be dismissive of him though. :(

It took me weeks to convince my friend to cosplay for me but she doesnt mind it really she mostly does it cause she likes having her picture taken.

I think if you convince her you want her to do it because you simply like looking at her, only. She may think you are just attracted to her.

However if its a NO then its a NO, some girls are just not into the whole dress-up cosplay thing.

I have the opposite problem actually XD. I plan to design and sew my next dress based off of 2B, and my boyfriend don't give two s*its about it . He's not into japanese video-games and hate this kind of character design in general >_< (plus he doesn't like when I dye my hair in weird and extreme colors and thinks the skirt is way too revealing).

You can make clothes like 2B's? That's super rad :D
