PC Controls Are Terrible
This is awful. Really, really bad.

I can't aim ranges attacks with sticks, which means I need to use KB+M.

Unfortunately, the KB+M controls are unholy. You cannot rebind the mouse at all, you're gonna be dodging, shooting, and moving all with your left hand.

Also, there is no dedicated dodge button available on Keyboard. The game also never tells you that double tapping a direction dodges when in KB+M mode.

Was this tested at all on PC? It's borderline unplayable trash at the moment unless you're using a controller.

It sucks, but that's par for the course for the genre. I don't even mean this in a "the devs are always lazy" kind of way, it's just that controls in spectacle fighters are built around controllers.

MGR.

I had no problems doing Revengance with a Controller because it didn't ask me to aim like it's a third person shooter.

The moment I have to aim in 3 dimensions, I can only use a mouse.

I might need to refund this if they can't ♥♥♥♥♥♥ the PC controls. It's really, really bad.

Such a shame.

Also, I love dying in the Intro because the game took my control away for a cutscene to force my character to move to the center of the screen, but didn't make me immune to damage.

Thanks, Platinum.

Well honestly it was to be expected. Many RPG's are meant to be played via Controller. Adding the fact that Square Enix kinda gives a ♥♥♥♥ about PC Ports (at least that's what i experienced so far), I didn't even bother trying out the PC Controls. :spacepony:

Again, I started with controller. But when I got to the real on-foot fighting and realized there was a shooter component that requires aiming in 3-dimensions, I HAD TO SWITCH TO MOUSE.

I cannot do shooters with sticks. Shooters that require accuracy need a mouse. It's unfortunate that the rest of the controls for KB+M are hot garbage.

You need a better analog controller. Might I suggest the Thrustmaster GXP. Fantastic analog controls, even better than the 360/XBO/PS4 ones.

Also try locking on, It helps.

Are you perhaps using a steam controller? Most would use a xbox360 controller or a PS3/PS4 controller emulated to work as a xbox360 controller and I have heard some cases that the steam controller doesn't play well with some games.

Honestly this just sounds like you need to learn how to play. I mean that in the nicest way. And it does tell you how to double tap to evade. You may have missed the tutorial while you were trying out the controller. Replay the tutorial with mouse an d keyboard only!

TL;DR

"I bought the game but I don't have money to buy a gamepad. BAWWWWW~ *hysterical crying* THE GAME IS TRASH!"

Seriously, just what have you expected from Japanese game ported directly from PS4? This sort of complaining is laughable.

Hi. Did you read my post? I have a controller. I played with a controller.

Then the game asked me to play Third Person Shooter.

I'm an old man. I quit playing First/Third Person shooters with sticks around Halo 2. I play my shooters with a mouse.

So I switched to KB+M controls. They're godawful.

Oh, you're right! If you play the opening segment with only a Mouse+Keyboard, it DOES tell you.

Unfortunately, your rotation is locked to 45 degree angles, making the top-down segments unbearably clunky when using a Mouse. :-/

I started with KB+M, before switching to xbox 1 controller. Apart from the flight unit and hacking scenes, i had little difficulty with it. Using the pod is better with homing, but controller is definitely more comfortable for this game

I like the KB and M. 20 hrs or in and no real issues.
