i dont mind spoiler but im stuck with this 2 guys for about 20 minutes already and i cant damage him at all
Theres only 3 golden enemies in the city as far as I'm aware, you can easily just avoid him. Dealing with him isn't very hard though. Seperate him from the two large gold robots and just shoot him to death while 9S wails on him. Took me about 30 minutes at level 17 (on hard) but it wasn't exactly difficult. For most of it I wasn't even moving or aiming, just letting the missle pod do its thing. The big gold machines actually have much less health (althoughs still quite a bit, about 15 minutes worth on hard).

It is worth noting that he doesn't really die until you kill the 2 big gold robots but he will be disabled when you deplete his health, after you kill the 2 gold robots he instantly dies if you had already disabled him. If you die however he will respawn at full health if you only disabled him. The gold large robots will not respawn.

You don't have to kill them. Though you get a rather valuable item from them.

Those are more or less an indicator that you should start to optimize and upgrade your plug-in chips and weapons.

so your using missile pod level 1 ? and kill the big guy first ? wow i mean how do you do that plz tell me

run past them and come back later when you will have a way to kill them easy
In the desert you can get a second pod (the missle pod) which you can switch to instead of the gattling gun. It seems to have slightly higher dps than the gattling gun on the small guy and since it targets enemies you don't have to aim so its a little simpler. You could just as easily kill him with the gattling gun it would just take slightly longer. You can also pretty safely use heavy attacks (from the greatsword) to do pretty decent damage from a safe range but you gotta be more careful then.

If you are underpowered like I was you shouldn't kill the big ones first. Kite the little one around a building and fight him there where the big ones can't get to you. Then when he is disabled, go kill the big robots (one at a time, by kiting one around a building). The missle pods targeting is stupid on the big guys so just use the gattling gun. You seem to need to be at a fairly close range for the bullets to do damage (make sure to shoot the legs as those don't reflect bullets).

After you kill the second big one, the little one you disabled will die so go to where you disabled him to grab the loot. I don't think I got anything special from it aside from a machine core which is just a sell item for 10k as far as I'm aware. Certainly not worth the 2 hours it took to kill them (one of the big guys hit me once, obviously one shotting me, on my first attempt meaning I had to disable the little guy again).

EDIT: nvm, just looked around and got the power up part S or whatever its called, the thing you need to upgrade your pod.

yes i have missile pod from dessert but only on lvl 1, okay im gonna try to kite the little one first and use missile + heavy attack.

btw what weapon did you use for LT and HT ? and what is your weapon lvl when you fighting gold enemy ?
awanderingswordsman Mar 19, 2017 @ 11:02am
Both my pods are level 1 and the weapon I was using was virtuous treaty lvl 2. Make sure you don't kite the enemies too far away or they will reset (at full health no less). Your stats mean almost nothing here, I was only doing like 8 damage a shot, 24 a missle, and 100 ish a heavy attack.
Litzor Mar 19, 2017 @ 11:27am
Ignore them until your second playthrough. There's a certain ability you get on your second playthrough (hacking) that is used for opening all of those locked chests and doors. The same ability can be used to defeat these enemies very quickly.
hey guys so about 45 min later of doing charge attacks with the machine axe and missle shots from my pod he is finally dead. i've upgraded all my weapons to at least level 2 some level 3. am I missing a weapon or not doing something right upgrading wise. I would really appreciate the help. this game is awesome as ♥♥♥♥ and i really want to be able to 100% it, so what am i doing wrong?? lol
