HUD Chips? Worth it to have more than one?

I was just wondering about the chips that display HUD items. It says I have 2 equipped but the game allows more but I am wondering what is the gain in having more than one equipped for things like HUD HP Guage and so on. Anyone know?

If you have more than one (which you shouldn't) there's no benefit to equipping both.

The shop sells HUD chips just in case you mess up and lose them somehow (like selling them, destroying them...) There's no benefit to having more than one of each.

Well it says "HUD: Skill Guage [2]" for example so I think I definitely have more than one.

The [2] is the chip cost - how much space it takes to equip.

Oh so when I look at the buy/sell window it warned me an item was equipped but I thought since I had two it was ok, is that true. Does it show quantity in the buy/sell and can you sell extras?

Chips are not listed in stacks like other items. If you have more than one, it will list both. So if you have two HUD: Skill Guage [2] chips, it will look like this:
-HUD: Skill Guage [2]
-HUD: Skill Guage [2]
