No...that is just the download size. The game will take up the 50GB HDD space when it unlocks.

That's just the preload.

Steam fourms never stop amazing me.

I'm confused, why do we only download 26 gb if we need to download 50??

The game is compressed. This allows for smaller download size. It will uncompress during the install and take up the 50GB listed in the requirements.

For pre-loading you need extra space during the unecryption process for that reason.
Many people learned this the hard way with GTA V

This game is 47GB on ps4 but it could be bigger on pc depending on how much work they put into the port, when it uncompresses.

It's not a port, and the file size will usually be bigger because of higher quality assets.
ME: Andromeda PC hard drive requirement for PC is higher than the consoles. It's been like that for years.

Not a port? Got a source for that?

"So, I think this isn't just our company - I think a lot of other companies also do it - but we actually start creating our games now on high-spec PCs and then optimize for the different consoles we release on. Since we already thought about releasing on Steam from the get-go, we'd already built the game in such a way that it would play on PC."

You'll always get questions like this in every new release game for steam. My personal favorite is the "What time will the game release, it says x amount of weeks/days/hours remaining?"

Nice. Thanks for that. :D
Always good to see a game being not-ported. Haven't seen a good PC port in quite some time. At least, not that I can think of. I'm sure I missed a port or two in my gaming life.

Well yeah, you can't create a game on your consoles...
Every game in the world is created on a PC! And there still are ♥♥♥♥♥♥ ports. :masterworks:
