Basically, if you are a legit customer it doesn't affect you at all and doesn't prevent modding ( I've swapped Snake with Quiet in MSG V for example ). Just Cause 3 also has a multiplayer game mode modded in. Not just simple .exe or texture swaps/edits. An entire game mode!

Every single game that has released with Denuvo has had these same pirate-shills ( or misinformed people ) spreading the same false info. If you are a legit customer it doesn't affect you at all.

Anyone dooming and glooming what-if scenarios like "if the Denuvo company dies, so will your games omg!!" are wrong, because clearly there's no such thing as patching it out ( Many games already patched out Denuvo - Homefront being the most recent game ).

Again, please don't fall for the BS these pirates and/or misinformed people spread. If you are a legit customer you aren't affected at all.

Do you know the exact Dunovo activation period Threshold? Have you actually tested out any of your claims?

Me and my group of friends went on 6 weeks of holiday retreat. I bought along my newly built SFF Gaming Rig to be used as a portable gaming console. So not wanting waste time re-download the games into my new rig from steam, I copied it directly from my existing PC's steam library. I had Tales of Berseria within the library, which is also protected by Denuvo.

And so the first problem I've encountered. I wasn't able execute ANY of my steam games in my library that I've imaged over. Steam has to be activated on the new machine in order to do so. So I proceeded to connect the rig online for the activation. And with that and was able to able to successfully play my games.

After that, we didn't encounter any activation issues throughout the entire 6 weeks. Mind you my SFF Rig didn't have access to any internet connection throughout our trip.

Of course if you're telling me that the Denuvo re-activation threshold is longer than 6 weeks, that we may have something new to test out here.

About two and a a half weeks offline for MGS5 and Mad Max, 9 days for Watchdogs 2 ( I had internet, but I didn't launch the game for 9 days and then popped up a message that I need to activate it: https://twitter.com/marcoolio1/status/829964705401798656 ), Rise of the TR kicked me out during gameplay when my ISP went down.
The thing we don't know is wether it is a set time after each activation or first activation + speciffic days of the month.

First of all DENUVO games do not run on a heavy modified OS.

I'm not going to ask why you need to run such a heavily modified OS that's your business, but what's the real percentage of the market that will be effected by this? Most normal users that get by with the standard will be fine.

Second, any changes to the system needs another reactivation of the game (via internet).

How often does the regular user change parts like their motherboard? Reactivation ain't a tough process either (load the game up) it's done in about 30 seconds if that in most cases.

What if i want to play the game on the laptop somewhere where is no internet and i need to reinstall some drivers? The game won't work anymore.

You are going to be stuck for a lot of things concerning apps/drivers with no internet access.

Third, do you think DENUVO servers will last for ever? What will happen when their servers will go down? It will be like GFWL.

fortunately forward thinking is at hand and publishers/developers are freely available to patch out Denuvo at their choosing.

I hope this one is not going to be a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ port
