Does Greenmangaming send you steam keys?
https://www.greenmangaming.com/games/nier-automata-day-one-edition/

It's currently 18% off. I would like to cancel my preorder on steam to buy it there but only if they send you steam keys.

Of course, wherever you buy the PC version from you will get a steam key. Well as long as it is a legitimate site.

What about GMG? Are they legitimate? It's crazy to think I can get the game for $49 before it releases at the $60 listed on steam.

Yea GMG are fine. Places like CDKeys and such I don't trust.

Nah dude, they are shady af. They had some major beef with CD Project, basically the messiah developers on PC.

Yes they do, i preordered SF4 ultra back in the day from them. Im thinking of refunding my steam purchase as well to get it there even if cant seem to find the extra discount vouchere a user was talking about in another thread thats still a better deal.

Really, didn't know that. I personally have never purchased from a 3rd party site but always thought GMG was legit.

Check if the name is censored or not in Steam. If it's censored, Steam considers them illegitemate.

Greenmangaming or gmg are fine. Just like GoG, Origin, Humble bundle.

Problematic ones are Kinguin and G2A. Which you probably can't read because they're censored out. Just quote me to see the text.

GMG is fine, it can be that you dont get the key early or at the right time, but thats rare, normaly always in time. and yes you get a steam key and also the steam preorder reward

I usually use K|nguin for my keys, buuut PG is just too awesome, so I'm going to pay full Steam price so they get as much money as possible.

not sure about the dlc extras but the key itself will work... I say that because I remember batman or something had a thing were 3rd party sites didn't get pre purchase goods
I preordered SFV and it came with the preorder bonus. I had no issues. I think the issue they had was the keys they were selling for the Witcher 3 came from an unauthorized source or something and CD Project was upset. They tell you straight up now. If you look on the page, it says the keys source is Square Enix.

Greenmangaming is an official retailer, just like steam, game, amazon, gamers gate, humble bundle.

But sometimes complications happen between retailers and publishers, that doesn't make greenmangaming any less legit, like for example steam and EA wasn't any less legit during and after their conflict.

3rd party resellers which normally have their names censored here on steam are not legit and should be avoided or taken with caution.

As for myself, yes I have pre-ordered Nier - Automata from greenmangaming, the game key should be sent out couple of days before release, I have no worries or concerns about my purchase because greenmangaming is official.

"DRM: STEAM" It says so just under the Pre-Purchase option to the right.

Always make sure to check when you buy a key from any site where it's used with. For instance, they sold TES:Online but it wasn't for STEAM, it was for it's own launcher. Same with EA games, they're usually activated on Origin. You also have to make sure you're buying the title for the platform you want to play as GMG and other sites are now selling keys for consoles as well.

GMG is a legitimate seller who usually gets their keys from the devs/publishers directly and if not from an authorised reseller. They're not like the grey market where anyone can put up a key from any unknown area by any means possible(Which includes stealing), the keys are all bought or distributed from GMG and only GMG, not any third party individuals(Unless stated otherwise in which case it's an authorised reseller).

It so happens GMG get their keys straight from Square Enix. Scroll down to Game Description. It shows this to the right under "Source" which is the source they acquired the key from.

GMG is legit-ish. Basically, if something DOES get screwed up, they have a 'no refunds ever' policy, so be ready to call your credit card company and get a chargeback.
