Yea GMG are fine. Places like CDKeys and such I don't trust.
Nah dude, they are shady af. They had some major beef with CD Project, basically the messiah developers on PC.
Really, didn't know that. I personally have never purchased from a 3rd party site but always thought GMG was legit.
Greenmangaming or gmg are fine. Just like GoG, Origin, Humble bundle.
Problematic ones are Kinguin and G2A. Which you probably can't read because they're censored out. Just quote me to see the text.
But sometimes complications happen between retailers and publishers, that doesn't make greenmangaming any less legit, like for example steam and EA wasn't any less legit during and after their conflict.
3rd party resellers which normally have their names censored here on steam are not legit and should be avoided or taken with caution.
As for myself, yes I have pre-ordered Nier - Automata from greenmangaming, the game key should be sent out couple of days before release, I have no worries or concerns about my purchase because greenmangaming is official.
Always make sure to check when you buy a key from any site where it's used with. For instance, they sold TES:Online but it wasn't for STEAM, it was for it's own launcher. Same with EA games, they're usually activated on Origin. You also have to make sure you're buying the title for the platform you want to play as GMG and other sites are now selling keys for consoles as well.
GMG is a legitimate seller who usually gets their keys from the devs/publishers directly and if not from an authorised reseller. They're not like the grey market where anyone can put up a key from any unknown area by any means possible(Which includes stealing), the keys are all bought or distributed from GMG and only GMG, not any third party individuals(Unless stated otherwise in which case it's an authorised reseller).
It so happens GMG get their keys straight from Square Enix. Scroll down to Game Description. It shows this to the right under "Source" which is the source they acquired the key from.
