NieR:Automata vs. Horizon Zero Dawn

The two games look similar to me; female protagonist fighting machines in a ruined enviroment. Horizon seems to have more foliage and enviromental detail.

Each game is massive, 40GB for HZD and 45GB for NieR, so I know I will get a lot of content. Nier appears to have DLC and HZD appears to be a complete game, which is surpising now a days.

What are your thoughts when comparing the two games? Do you think its worth it if I have Horizon Zero Dawn?

where did you see that nier is 45GB? Horizon is PS4 the games on ps4 are always smaller then on pc, so you cant count that as well.

Nier Automata is 45.4 gb on PS4.

Horizon Zero Dawn was a fun game, Lasted me around 50 hours to 100% the game. Gameplay wise HZD is a bit more strategic as the combat is aiming for weaknesses. Nier Automata is more like Devil May Cry kind of combat. Story wise Nier Automata wins all the way imo.

Edit: Since this maybe your first Yoko Taro game prepare to beat the game 5 times for the whole story as each playthrough changes in some sort of way.

Nier, because I don't own a console.... besides the other ones trailers remind me more of Enslaved than anything, can't see how Nier relates at all

Horizon Zero Dawn is not worth your money. Its a shallow game trying to be the new tomb raider games and from the looks of it, can't even do that. Its just eye candy.
If all you want is graphics go get it sure. But if you want actual gameplay i'd say get this. It'll feel more rewarding.

I disagree HZD was well worth the 60 bucks, and the gameplay is way different than any game I've played to date. The story was also not half bad but the MC was pretty terrible.

They are completely different in style, design, story and gameplay. You must not have looked into the games at all to come to that conclusion.

Wow OP, those are some really strong aspects the games are similar in right? Just like Dishonored 2 having the same GB space requirements as The Witcher 3, oh and they both have dudes as main protagonists so those game are basically identical.
