lol he only sells weapons if you stop him in front of the Resistance Camp afaik. Just teleport to the middle of the city ruins and he should eventually start spawning there.
Also, This V
that's the antithesis of fun if you've completed the game he should sell all his items like a normal rpg shop would handle it. That's the big problem with nier it's like ten games in one and gets most of them perfect but the rpg element ignores the most basic fundamentals of rpg design. Spent until long into the early hours of the morning trying to change his spawn from outside the factory near engels to the last spawn and he disappeared completely off the map and hasnt came back after a number of reloads, it's as though the game doesn't want completion and is purposely being dragged out, no game this good should do something like that. This single thing ruins the pacing and feel of the game completely and manages to make what was once awesome feel monotonous as hell
This is wrong, I went to his house and picked the mask up before deciding to fight him, then went on later, "stole" the mask again even though it wouldn't let me pick up, and the fight triggered normally afterwards.
It has to be done as 9S and you have to go back, talk to him again so he mentions a thief, go to his house again, hack a chest, and only then the fight unlocks.
Thankyou for the concise information I do really enjoy the feel of this game but I'll just be leaving this until they fix it and making a note to steer clear of square enix and the developers they support, spending 12+ hours to rng a shop to the right place for a weapon set only a handful of players will use just to get a secret boss is an unrealistic expectation for the developer to have for their players, my time spent doing this is nearly as long as the 2nd playthrough of the game all the fast paced fun has just come up against a brick wall of slow mundane repetitive back and forth between areas, im genuinely really disappointed by it because this is the best game like this since bayonetta imo and ive played through it like 20 times, it's also killed any intrigue I had in previous Nier titles because if there's anything close to this in them I'm super okay with not playing them now.
