Sounds about right.
I don't think "E" units had the ability (or rather, permission) to kill each YoRHa unit on sight who they identified as a threat to YoRHa. As far as I know, this (or something that is even remotely resembling) was never stated in the game. "E" units executed other YoRHa members if they got the order to do so. They were "E" units because they were designed to be even able to kill other YoRHA units and in my opinion being an "E" doesn't neccessarily mean that you can kill other YoRHa unrestricted, it means that you are powerful enough to cut down your kind too if it comes to that. When "E" units got their orders to kill other YoRHa member, the YoRHa command must have cleared the restriction against that specific YoRHa member. Desertors obviosuly weren't YoRHa anymore so the moment they got the "label" offically they basically became free-to-kill by other YoRHa units.
2B had orders to kill 9S if he discovered the truth (I think 2B didn't even know what that truth was, she just followed her orders every time she killed 9S), so the "being restricted" problem clearly couldn't arise.
The blindfolds are technical visors basically. I don't know exactly where this info did come from, but it was an official source. You can look up for yourself if you want.
Regarding A2: Command used A2 and her squadmates as guinea pigs. They were deployed to a mission that was secretly planned as a failure from the very start. The point wasn't them to accomplish their mission objectives, in reality, they were merely sent down to fight against machines in really tough and hopeless situations so that command could record and gather valuable data through their experiences. When YoRHa command got what they wanted, A2 and her squad was abandoned and was left to die without sending the requested reinforcements. From her squad only A2 survived and having realized the truth she became a desertor. This is the betrayal she was referring to. YoRHa command later used this data in the design of newer YoRHa models, like 2B or 9S. This story was told in the YoRHa stage play, written by Yoko Taro so it's basically canon and Anemone memories revealed part of it as well.
And 2B totally does show emotions at times; like she said "some suppress their emtion better than others".
