Has ANYONE ever bothered with hacking chips at all? Why would you?

I mean, hacking is already amazingly powerful as it is, and remote controlling gets stale after you do it a few times with most machine types, and subjugating is pointless when 2B would be broken as hell if she weren't constantly on Passive, as she would use my +4 weapon set with crit UP and attack speed UP. She is also invincible. Yes, 9S is kinda trash in melee combat, but you can make him work and he actually has decent crowd control, so.. I fail to see a reason for ever using any of the hacking chips.

They are only useful against higher lvl enemies, Golden Rabbit Statue for instance.

It takes quite a bit longer to hack something of higher lvl compared to something at/below your current lvl.

Only time I used em was during the arena for 9S.

Well, sure, but you can just keep dodging and spamming or holding triangle, or just abusing 2h weapon dodge attacks because of the ungodly sweep and stagger, and if it's a large enemy, you can just kite it and keep building up the hack meter.

Or you could hold hack button for 2 seconds instead of 10-15 (without needing to dodge) and one shot the golden rabbit with vastly less effort involved.

Oh yeah, that's true, but I meant in general. It is useful for the rabbit, no arguments there, I was referring to... well, basically ANY other situation.
