Crossplay multiplayer with Nintendo Switch Lite

I have this on PC, I am trying to join up with my kids on their switch lites. It suggests its possible but I cant find anything online. My play screen on PC is different to theirs on switch, I select PLAY > (Online or Single Player) whereas theirs just goes straight PLAY > select game type.

I can set up the game and get a join code but I cant find where to input this on their switch, any help would be fantastic!
