Thanks for the question and welcome to our community!
Hypercharge is a Wave-Based Shooter with Defense Building Mechanics. It’s similar to a Horde mode, with the major difference being there’s a lot more strategy involved.
Right now, the game doesn’t have that Campaign feel, but our next update changes this. We’re putting a lot of focus on the lore/story. What this means is, when you complete a level, you’ll learn more about the world of Hypercharge, including its antagonists, protagonists, and the reason for your objectives. There will be a big sense of progression.
I hope I have answered your question. If you’d like to know anything else, please let me know. Oh, and don’t forget, there is a Demo on our store page that you are welcome to try. :)
All the best,
Joe
Hi Fomin,
We are adding a campaign to the current PvE mode. It will explore much of the story/lore behind Hypercharge as well as add objectives to complete in buildmode. :) More information about it all, soon.
Best,
Joe
Thanks! I am looking forward to it!
Will the campaign be available in co-op as well?
So far the announcements say single-player but I agree that campaign coop would be a great addition especially since this is already a multiplayer-focused game anyway.
Try to imagine Borderlands without campaign coop. It would be almost nothing compared to what it is.
