Chronicle of Gods has a Steam page, and this is the first post on it. I'm Tobi, and I'm making it. Here is what the game is, where it stands and how it's made, written down in one place from the start.

You play one god among rivals, on a world that makes its own history. Its peoples wander, learn to farm, build cities and realms, and lose them again. Your rivals act on the same world, often where you can't see, and the marks they leave on the land show what kind of god was at work, but not always which one.

The Chronicle was writing before the first realm rose, and it will still be writing when the last one falls.

It writes each world's history into a book of ages, and your deeds go into it among everyone else's. You can open the book at any point in play.

It's coming to Early Access in Q1 2027, on Windows. It's playable today, and rough. The world's history already runs from the first wandering bands to warring realms; the part I want to deepen most over Early Access is the gods' side of the game, the rival gods first.

Chronicle of Gods is a one-person project, and I use AI coding assistants heavily to build it. I'd rather say that up front than have it discovered. I'm not embarrassed by it: a simulation this size is far more than I could have written by hand, and without these tools this game would not exist at all. What the AI does is write code I specify and review. What it doesn't do is make the game. The design, the systems, what belongs in the world and what doesn't, every balance decision: all of that is mine, and every one of them gets checked by running the simulation and looking at what actually came out. No image, music or voice model was used anywhere. Everything you see, from the globe and the maps to the heraldry, the icons and the interface, is drawn by code, and that code was written with the same assistants, to my direction. So was the game's English text. The histories themselves are assembled by procedural systems, not a language model, and nothing in the game talks to an AI model while you play.

If it sounds like your kind of game, a wishlist helps more than anything else right now: the more people wishlist a game, the more people Steam shows it to. Following the game brings posts like this one to your activity feed. And if you'd like to talk about it, or have a say in what comes next, the Discord[discord.gg] is open.
Thanks for reading.
