Seems like there is no need for microtransations to win. The game plays much like Fort Defense (a paid TD by the same dev), just with an added microtransaction system which is however not in any way necessary to beat the game, it seems - but they can be used to reduce grinding or unlocking episode 2 early. So I hope this works out for the devs. Thanks for the nice free game!

Prove me wrong- I can't find a way to grind Elixers, so if you waste them all on say, more gold at the start, eventually you will reach a point where there is no way to progress but to pull out your credit card.. Unless I'm missing something, it seems like repeating missions doesnt reward Elixers, just getting the 1-3 star does, once.

Yes, elicirs seem to be granted for stars. Didn't know you don't get any for replaying...

Unfair since they are needed for power-ups which the game does not even tell you about! so some will waste it on those stupid unneeded tower-spots in a level and then be stuck. You should NOT have a game where you need to PAY to continue like that

That is like putting a paywall on a final boss

Haven't tried this game myself but I wouldn't be surprised if there's an achievement for buying one of those power up/crystal/elixir or whatever the hell they called it nowadays. Still wondering how this one got out of Greenlight though.

There is one for using an elixir on the spot but the tutorial forces you to use it

You can do pretty much all the achievements with the first story and around 1-3 of the 2nd area, th 2nd area really brings out unfair enemies and waves to where you won't get even 2 stars without using cash or heavy grinding to max everything out

Doubt it in this one without boring grinding sadly, they do throw many enemies out at you World 2 with little gold
