Hey! Does the Advanced launch option fix the issue? Please note that Hello Neighbor is not officially supported on Linux at this time!
Also very important for me to tell you this, Yes I know there is no Linux Native version but this game's version of Unreal Engine is capable of exporting a package as a Linux Native rather just Windows. But, Hello Neighbor does work on Proton just fine, it's just an only problem was a mixer account no longer support causes issues. Thanks for a reminder about the platform.
Most importantly, according to Proton Database[protondb.com], Hello Neighbor was marked as "Platinum" which it means the game will run perfect on Linux. Games that are made with Unreal Engine will run phenomenal. They're gigantic time supported for Linux whether it's supported or not.
