act 3 basement monster

I can't get past the basement monster, it grabs me no matter what even though I am staying out of its light. I've looked up how other plays get past it on youtube and have attempted their exact steps to no avail. Is the basement monster just bugged causing act 3 to be unplayable?

its easy, before you enter the basement in act 3, you must collect the green and the red key to complete some minigames, there are 3 minigames, every minigame will give you a special hability, these habilities are necesary to reach to the black monster from the act 3 basement.

I think my red and green keys have been stolen by the magnet, I'll have to turn the magnet off then..

How To Complete Act 3 Basement (with minigames you can't do it)
first one: Fear School
To Have The Green Key. You Need Stop Magnet!
second one: Fear Supermarket
this level is easy :)
Third One: Double Jump Room
You Need Red Key.... just this!
(yes that is it)
