I don't know if this is the right discusion to ask, but its the only one close to what I'm looking for: why does no one talk about the franchise anymore? none of the big youtubers have played the new games like secret neighbor except for dawko and maybe 8-bit ryan, it seems like after the first was officially out everyone forgot about it and I don't know why, and I'm genuinely curious,as the franchise still has new stuff coming out. Anyone have any ideas?

yea also the AI was much better in those versions too. Hello Neighbor Development just confuses me. Like why did dynamic pixels go this way?

They've probably been attempting to go down a "kid friendly" route with the franchise. It was a game about trying to find out what your sketchy neighbor is hiding in your basement and I wish they just let it be what it was instead of succumbing to the abominable toxicity that is FGTeeV.
