Hello Neighbour is a stealth game and in Alpha 2 on the mailboxes are codes saying "14:14".

The bible verse for Exodus 14:14 as a version is "The lord will fight for you. You just have to be silent." As being true in the game, the only way to get rid of the neighbour is to be silent.

The neighbour seems to have satanic rituals in his basement, maybe this is why lord protects you when you are not in the neighbours sight.

Did I figure it out?

Not sure if the developers have finalized what the overall plot is. Probably need to wait until the game is finished to say for sure.

What about chapter 14, verse 14 of the other books of the Bible. It seems that some books x chapter verse 14 have neighbor in them as well.

Also I clipped under the map and looked at the bottom of the neighbors shoes and on them are the number 666

"When Abram heard that his relative had been taken captive, he called out the 318 trained men born in his household and went in pursuit as far as Dan."

maybe the child/thing locked in the basement is our relative
